What a good rent receipt shows
- Who received the money, and who paid it.
- The property or unit, and the month the payment covers.
- The amount in figures and in words, so it cannot be changed easily.
- The date and the way it was paid, with the M-Pesa code if there is one.
- A receipt number, so each receipt can be found later.
